The name points to its Turkish origins (Tavuk şiş) however it is quite a common chicken bbq in turkey.SHISH TAOUK PARCELSIngredients250 grams boneless chicken breasts2 tablespoons yogurt1 tablespoon chopped garlic¼ teaspoon green cardamom powder½ teaspoon cumin powder1 teaspoon paprika/red chilli powderSalt to taste 2 teaspoons lemon juice Oil for grilling Iceberg lettuce cups for serving Onion rings for servingLemon slices for serving A few fresh parsley sprigs Yogurt dip3-4 tablespoons yogurt½ tablespoon chopped fresh parsley1 tbsp chopped fresh mint leaves1 green chilli, finely choppedA pinch cumin powder Method1. Cut chicken into small cubes and transfer in a bowl. 2. Add yogurt, garlic, cardamom powder, cumin powder, paprika/chilli powder, salt and lemon juice and mix well. 3. Skewer the marinated chicken pieces onto satay sticks.4. Heat some oil in a non-stick grill pan. Place the satay sticks and grill till golden brown and evenly cooked. 5. To make yogurt dip, mix together yogurt, parsley, mint leaves and green chillies in a bowl. Add cumin powder and mix well. 6. Line a serving platter with lettuce cups. Transfer the grilled chicken cubes in them. Add some onion rings, lemon slices and fresh parsley sprigs.7. Serve immediately with the prepared yogurt dip.
