British-style comfort food made with minced meat, veggies and mashed potato, perfect for today's #ENGvAUS match! #WorldCricEAT #CWC19SHEPHERD’S PIEIngredients300 grams mutton minceMashed potatoes as required2 tbsps oil1 medium onion, finely chopped8-10 garlic cloves, finely chopped1 inch ginger, finely chopped2 tbsps chopped celery stick1 medium tomato, chopped1 cup tomato puree2 medium carrots, cut into small cubesSalt to tasteCrushed black peppercorns to taste1 tsp dried oregano1½ tsps Worcestershire sauce½ cup frozen peas½ cup sweet corn kernels, boiledParsley sprig for garnishMethod1. Preheat the oven at 180˚C.2. Heat oil in a deep pan, add onion and sauté for 1-2 minutes. Add garlic and ginger and mix well.3. Add mutton mince and sauté on high heat for 2-3 minutes. Add celery and tomato and mix well. 4. Add tomato puree and sauté well. Add carrots and mix. 5. Add salt, crushed black peppercorns, oregano, and Worcestershire sauce and mix well. Cover and cook till the meat is cooked completely. 6. Add frozen peas, sweet corn, and mix well. Cook for 1-2 minutes. Take it off the heat.7. Transfer the prepared mixture into a shallow baking dish, pipe out mashed potatoes to cover the top.8. Bake for 15-20 minutes. Take it out of the oven.9.
