Sesame Nougat | Sanjeev Kapoor Khazana

SESAME NOUGAT

Ingredients

1 cup white sesame seeds, roasted
1 tablespoon milk
2½ tablespoons unsalted butter
¼ cup castor sugar
1 tablespoon corn syrup
A pinch salt

Method

1. Preheat oven at 180° C. Line a silicon sheet on a baking tray.
2. Heat milk in a non-stick pan. Add butter and sugar and mix. Add corn syrup ad mix.
3. Add sesame seeds and mix. Add salt, mix and stir till it combines.
4. Pour the prepared mixture on the lined tray and spread as thin as possible.
5. Put the tray in the preheated oven and bake for 10-15 minutes. Remove from heat, cool and cut into desired shapes.
6. Serve or store in an air-tight container.
