Salami Sandwich Tiny Taste Buds Recipes for Kids Sanjeev Kapoor Khazana

A filling, colourful, 3-tier sandwich that has greens, cheese, cream cheese and of course, the star of the dish, Chicken Salami.

SALAMI SANDWICH

Ingredients

cup cream cheese
cup boiled beetroot puree
Salt to taste
Crushed black peppercorns to taste
6 white bread slices
Butter for applying
Lettuce leaves as required
4 cheese slices
8 chicken salami slices
Potato chips to serve
Juice to serve

Method

1. Take cream cheese in a bowl. Add beetroot puree, salt and crushed black peppercorns and mix well.
2. To make one sandwich, spread some butter on one side of three bread slices. Place a cheese slice on one bread slice, add a few lettuce leaves, place another slice of bread over it with the butter side facing down, spread the beetroot mixture and place some salami slices over it, place a cheese slice. Spread some more of the beetroot mixture over the third slice of bread, arrange some lettuce leaves and place this over the sandwich with the lettuce side facing down. Trim the edges and cut the sandwich into 4 pieces. Secure the pieces with toothpicks.
3. Arrange the sandwich pieces on a serving platter, place some potato chips, and serve with juice of your choice.
