Rose and Coconut Swiss Roll
Ingredients for Sponge:
Eggs 4
Caster sugar 1/2 cup
Vanilla essence 1 tsp
All-purpose flour 1 cup
Ingredients for Whipped Cream:
Whipping cream 2 cups
Jam-e-Shirin 2 tbsp
Ingredients for Swiss Roll:
Prepared sponge
Whipped cream
Desiccated coconut as required
Jam-e-Shirin as required
Directions for Sponge Preparation:
1. In a bowl add eggs, caster sugar and vanilla essence and beat until foamy
and pale in color.
2. Add flour and mix it well until no lumps remain.
3. Transfer the batter to a greased baking pan lined with butter paper.
4. Bake in a preheated oven at 160C for 10-15 mins. Take it out of the oven
and let it cool at room temperature.
Directions for Whipped Cream Preparation:
5. In a bowl add whipping cream and beat until fluffy and stiff peaks form. Add
Jam-e-Shirin and beat it again. Set aside.
Directions for Swiss Roll Preparation:
6. Take the prepared sponge, spread whipped cream on it. Add desiccated
coconut and roll the sponge into roll shape.
7. Drizzle Jam-e-Shirin on it, sprinkle desiccated coconut and decorate the cake
with whipped cream.
8. Your Rose and Coconut Swiss Roll is ready.
