Restaurant style Chicken Yakhni Pulao Recipe by Cooking with Asifa
Yakhni Pulao is a West-Asian rice dish made by cooking rice in chicken broth/stock with yogurt & spices.
Ingredients:
Salt
Cumin 1
Onion 2
Cloves 9
Tomato 2
Lemon 1/2
Cinnamon 1
Bay leaf 1
Water 1 ml
Oil 3/4 cup
Yogurt 1 cup
Chicken 1200g
Green chili 3
Chicken cube 2
Black pepper 15
Black cardamom 2
Green cardamom 3
Basmati rice 750g
Green chopped chili 1.5
Ginger garlic paste 2 tbsp
Recipe:
Roast black pepper, cloves, black cardamom, bay leaf, cinnamon, green cardamom, cumin seeds in oil.
Fry onions till it golden brown. Then add water and cover the pan.
Add ginger garlic paste n chopped green chilies and cook for few minutes.
Add chicken and cook it well.
Then add coriander powder, salt, tomatoes and yogurt to cook for making gravy.
Add 1 glass water with chicken cubes and lemon & rice and cook it, until water dries out.
At last, add green chilies & cumin seeds and give dum.
