We'll give you a behind-the-scenes look at our best shows, take you inside our favorite restaurant and be your resource in the kitchen to make sure every meal is a 10/10!Sausage and Pepper BurgersRECIPE COURTESY OF REE DRUMMONDLevel: EasyTotal: 1 hrActive: 40 minYield: 6 servingsIngredients2 tablespoons olive oil2 red bell peppers, sliced 1 large onion, sliced Pinch plus 1 teaspoon kosher salt Pinch plus 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper 3 cloves garlic, sliced 1/2 cup pizza sauce 2 pounds (80/20) ground beef1 pound sweet Italian sausage, casing removed 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano 1/2 teaspoon dried ground sage 6 slices provolone6 semolina rolls, split and toasted Torn fresh basil, for topping DirectionsPreheat a grill to medium heat.Pour the olive oil into a large skillet over a medium-high heat. When the oil is hot, add the bell pepper and onion, then sprinkle with a pinch each of salt and pepper. Cook, stirring frequently, until lightly browned and just tender, 8 to 10 minutes. Add the garlic and cook until just softened, about 1 more minute. Stir in the pizza sauce and 1/2 cup water, then simmer until thickened but still saucy, about 5 minutes. Set aside and keep warm.Combine the beef, sausage, oregano, sage and remaining teaspoon each of salt and pepper in a large bowl. Mix with your hands until well combined. Form into six patties, about 1 inch thick and 4 1/2 inches wide.Grill the patties until cooked through, 6 to 7 minutes per side.
