Balsamic Brussel Sprouts Recipe

Ingredients:
1 lb. brussel sprouts, rinsed and dried
Olive oil
Salt
Garlic powder
cup balsamic vinegar
2 tsp. Fresh lemon juice
1 - 2 tsp. Maple syrup
1 cup raw walnut pieces
Parmesan cheese, grated

Directions:
Preheat oven to 450 degrees F.

Cut the stems off the brussel sprouts and cut the sprouts in half, and if they are large, quarters.
Place them in a bowl and toss with olive oil, salt and garlic powder. Stir and repeat the process one more time.

Pour the brussels sprouts out onto a foil covered baking sheet and spread them into a single layer. Place them in the oven for 15 to 18 minutes.

In the meantime, mix the balsamic vinegar, lemon juice and maple syrup in a bowl and stir to combine. Then add the walnuts and stir.

When the brussel sprouts are done roasting and are caramelized, remove them from the oven and then add them to the balsamic mixture. Stir to coat them well.

Using a slotted spoon to drain excess sauce, place the sprouts back on the baking sheet and place them back in the oven which you will lower to 400 degrees F. for 5 minutes.

When the sprouts come out, grate fresh parmesan cheese over all and serve. Enjoy!
