Puliyodharai recipe is a tasty and traditional festival rice dish among South Indian food items. Pulihodars will be prepared in many ways, but this raw tomato pulihodarai is so different among them.Raw Tomatoes 4-5 numberOil 2 tablespoonsDry red chillies 4 numberMustard seeds 1/2 teaspoonCumin seeds 1/2 teaspoonChana dal 1/2 teaspoonUrad dal 1/2 teaspoonTurmeric powder 1/2 teaspoonsHing pinchCurry leaves 1 springGinger (chopped) 1 teaspoonPeanuts (crushed) 1 teaspoonTamarind jiuce 100 mlGreen chillies 3 numberSalt to tasteCooked Rice 1 cup1. Firstly cut the raw tomatoes into pieces and keep aside.2. Heat oil in a pan, add dry red chillies, mustard seeds, cumin seeds, chana dal, urad dal and fry till the raw flavour is gone3. Now add turmeric powder, hing, curry leaves, chopped ginger, crushed peanuts and cook for few minutes.4. Then add tamarind juice and cook for another 3-4 minutes until it is slightly thick.5. Later add split green chillies, salt, raw tomatoes and cook for 3-4 minutes.6.
