Raw Banana Halwa Recipe - Kele ka halwa Recipe | Nisha Madhulika

Raw banana halwa is a super yummy halwa recipe with an amazing twist. Kele ka halwa makes a perfect dessert.

Ingredients

Raw banana - 3 (300 grams)
Sugar - 3/4 cup (150 grams)
Ghee - 5 to 6 tbsp
Milk - 1.5 cup (300 ml)
Cashews - 10 to 12
Almonds - 10 to 12
Raisins - 20 to 25
Green cardamom powder - 1/2 tsp

Directions

Getting ready:

1. Rinse the bananas well and then chop off the stalk from both the ends. Also chop down few cashews and almonds for making the rawa banana halwa.

Making:

2. Pressure cook the bananas with 1 cup of water until one whistle and then turn off the flame. When the steam escapes from its own, transfer the bananas in a separate plate and let them cool down.
3. After this peel off the bananas and chop them down into rough chunks. Now mash them finely using a fork or simply grate the boiled bananas.
4. Heat 4 to 5 tbsp of ghee in a wok. To it then add mashed bananas and start stirring constantly on low flame till change in color and ghee starts leaving the sides.
5. Then add milk and sugar to the mixture and give a nice stir to mix up everything well. After simmering for a while add the chopped dry fruits and some raisins and continue cooking until it gets thick and dense in consistency. Keep stirring occasionally.
6. Mix some cardamom powder as well and stir up again nicely. Turn off the flame and transfer the delectable raw banana halwa to a serving bowl.

Serving:

7. Garnish with some chopped dry fruits and drizzle some ghee. Relish eating it warm anytime of the day!
