How to make dahi baras
Ingredients
For barras
1.gram flour(1 cup)
2.salt(1tsp)
3.carom seeds(1/4 tsp)
4.baking soda(3 pinches)
5.chopped green chillies(4)
6.chopped onion(1 baby onion)
7.garlic mashed (1 clove)
8.water(as required)
Ingredients
For yogurt batter
1.yogurt(1kg)
2.salt(1/2 tsp)
3.black pepper powder(1/2 tsp)
4.carom seeds(1/4 tsp)
5.boiled diced potato(1)
6.boiled chickpeas (125g)
7.onion chopped(1)
Ingredients
For garnishing
1.chaat masala
2.tamarind sauce
Ingredients for frying
1.oil(for deep frying)
2.tap water (as required)
Method
1.put all the ingredients of barras in gram flour.dissove it by gradually adding water.it should be neither runny not stiff.
Give rest for at least an hour
2.add all the remaining ingredients in yogurt n mix well.
Keep aside
3.deep fry barras in hot oil on medium flame. Put them in water for 30 seconds.
4.arrange barras in platter.pour yogurt batter.garnish with Chaat masala and tamarind sauce.n enjoy
