With the goodness of the superfood, ragi, here's an upma version which is ultra-healthy!RAGI RAVA UPMAIngredients1½ cups ragi rava 2 tbsps oil½ tsp mustard seeds1 tsp split skinless black gram (dhuli urad dal)8-10 curry leaves2 green chillies, chopped 2 medium onions, chopped1 medium tomato, choppedSalt to taste1 medium carrot, peeled and cut into ½ cm pieces½ cup green peas½ tsp sugarScraped coconut for garnishCoriander sprig for garnishMethod1. Dry roast ragi rava in a nonstick pan on medium heat for 4-5 minutes.2. Heat oil in a nonstick pan. Add mustard seeds and once they start to splutter, add urad dal. Sauté till golden brown.3. Add curry leaves, green chillies, onions and mix well. Sauté till translucent.4. Add tomato, salt and cook till tomatoes are pulpy.5. Add carrot, green peas and mix well. Add ½ cup water, cover and cook for 3-4 minutes on medium heat.6. Add the roasted rava ad mix well. Add 3 cups hot water, sugar and mix.7. Cover and cook on medium heat for 8-10 minutes.8.
