QUICK CHICKEN KADAI

Ingredients

750 grams chicken legs, cut into 2 pieces on the bone
½ cup oil
Salt to taste
1 tbsp ginger- garlic paste
2 tomatoes, halved
¾ tsp red chilli powder
A pinch of turmeric powder
1 tsp coriander powder
1 tsp Tata Sampann Chicken Masala
1½ tsps red chilli flakes
¼ tsp black pepper powder
2 tbsps yogurt
1 tsp dried fenugreek leaves (kasuri methi)
Sliced green chillies for garnish
Ginger strips for garnish
Coriander sprigs for garnish

Method

1. Heat oil in iron kadai. Add salt, chicken and cook on high heat for 4-5 minutes or till chicken turns golden brown.
2. Add ginger-garlic paste and sauté for a few seconds.
3. Add tomatoes, ½ cup water and let the mixture come to a boil.
4. Remove the skin from the tomatoes and mash them in the gravy itself.
5. Add red chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander, Tata Sampann Chicken Masala and mix well.
6. Add red chilli flakes and black pepper powder and mix well.
7. Add yogurt and mix well. Crush dried fenugreek leaves in palms and add to the chicken.
8. Cook for 5-6 minutes.
9. Transfer in a serving bowl. Garnish with chillies, ginger, coriander sprig and serve hot.
