Learn how to make Prawn Curry at home with chef Sneha only on Get Curried

Prawns are every nonvegetarian's favorite seafood and exactly the opposite is not so favorite Papaya! So in today's Masala Trails episode, Chef Sneha Nair, teaches you how to make a delicious Prawn Curry with the blend of Raw Papaya. So watch the video and learn how to make Prawn Curry in Kerala style.

Ingredients:
2 tbsp coconut oil
few curry leaves
2 – 3 sliced onions
6 red chillies
10-12 peppercorns
1 inch ginger chopped
4 – 5 garlic cloves
1 tsp cumin seeds
250 gms prawns
2 small raw papayas
2 small tomatoes
200 ml coconut milk
11/2 tsp of vinegar

Method:
-Pour coconut oil in a pot and add some curry leaves, add chopped onions and salt. Let the onions cook.
-In a blender grind together red chillies, peppercorns, garlic, ginger and cumin seeds and add little water to it.
-Once the paste is made, add it to the onions and mix well. Let this mixture cook for some time.
-Add prawns and cook them until they turn white.
-Add chopped raw papaya and chopped tomatoes. Combine the mixture together.
-Add half the amount of coconut milk, cover the prawns with a lid and allow it to cook.
-Once the vegetables and prawns are completely done, add the rest of the coconut milk.
-To make the curry more tangy, add some white vinegar.
-Serve the prawn curry with some piping hot rice!
