A must-try for all the prawn's lovers out there.PRAWN BALCHAOIngredients600 grams prawns, shelled and deveined Salt to taste2 inch cinnamon stick10-12 cloves 1 teaspoon cumin seeds 1 teaspoon mustard seeds 15-20 garlic cloves, chopped 2 inch ginger piece, chopped 12-15 dried red chillies, soaked 1 cup malt vinegar ¾ cup oil 2 large onions, finely chopped 4 large tomatoes, chopped 2 tablespoons sugar Method1. Put the prawns in a bowl. Add salt, mix and set to marinate. 2. Blend together cinnamon, cloves, cumin seeds, mustard seeds, garlic, ginger and red chillies with malt vinegar to a fine paste. Add water as required to get the right consistency. 3. Heat oil in a non-stick pan. Add prawns and sauté till they turn light pink. Remove from heat and set aside. 4. In the same pan, add onions and sauté till they turn soft. Add tomatoes and salt, mix and cook till they turn pulpy. 5. Add the paste, mix well and cook till the oil separates.
