Pork Tonkatsu Rice Bowl
Servings: for 2

INGREDIENTS

2 pieces of Pork Loin (for tonkatsu)

Pickled sauce
2 tablespoons Soy sauce
1 tablespoon Sake
1 tablespoon Mirin
1 teaspoon Garlic (grated)
1 teaspoon Ginger

Potato starch
Frying oil

2 bowls of Rice
Shredded Cabbage as needed
Mayonnaise to top
Spring Green Onion to top

PREPARATION
1. Using the back of a kitchen knife, pound the pork to flatten to the same thickness, and transfer to a deep dish.

2. Place all the ingredients for the pickled sauce in a bowl, mix. Pour the mixture into the deep dish containing the pork loin, rub and soak for 30 minutes.

3. Sprinkle potato starch on the pork and rub on both sides.

4. Gently lower into frying oil heated to 170C and fry until golden brown.

5. Cut the fried pork into bite size pieces.

6. Put rice in a bowl and cover with shredded cabbage, place the pork on top. Finish with mayonnaise and chopped spring green onions and you're done!

7. Enjoy!
