This shikanji is flavoured with fresh plums and is absolutely refreshing and lip-smacking to treat your taste buds!PLUM SHIKANJIIngredients6 fresh plums½ tsp black salt1 tsp dried mint leaves½ tsp red chilli powder½ tsp dried mango powder¼ tsp chaat masala1 tsp roasted cumin powder½ tsp dry ginger powder½ cup sugar1 tbsp lemon juice1 lemonIce cubes as requiredMint sprigs as requiredDrinking soda as requiredMethod1. Put black salt in a mortar, add dried mint leaves, red chilli powder, dried mango powder, chaat masala, roasted cumin powder and dry ginger powder and crush with the help of a pestle.2. Reserve 1 plum and deseed and chop the remaining ones.3. Transfer the chopped plums in a nonstick pan. Add sugar, lemon juice and mix well.4. Add ½ cup water and mix well. Cook on medium heat for 8-10 minutes. 5. Mash the plums with the back of the spoon. Transfer in a bowl and allow to cool.6. Slice the lemon and remaining plum. Insert toothpick in the plum slices to make garnish.7. Add ¼ tsp of spice mix in each glass and top up with plum mixture. Add ice cubes and lemon slices and mint sprigs.8.
