PIZZA BURGER

Ingredients

Pizza dough as required
1 cup chicken mince
1 medium onion, chopped
1 tablespoon chopped garlic
Black pepper powder to taste
1 green chilli, chopped
Salt to taste
1 egg
Oil for shallow-frying
Refined flour for dusting
16 tablespoons pizza sauce
200 grams mozzarella cheese
5-6 button mushrooms, sliced
1 medium green capsicum, cut into strips
4 cheese slices
1 cup caramelized onion rings
5-6 fresh basil leaves

Method

1. Preheat oven at 180ºC.
2. Combine chicken mince, onion, garlic, pepper powder, green chillies and salt in a bowl. Mix well. Add egg and mix well.
3. Heat oil in a non-stick pan. Place a medium size ring mould in it.
4. Divide the chicken mixture into a portion and spoon in the mould. Shallow-fry the patty till golden and evenly cooked from both sides. Similarly, make remaining patties.
5. Divide the pizza dough into eight medium equal portions and flatten into discs on a dusted worktop.
6. Spread 2 tablespoons pizza sauce on a pizza disc. Grate some mozzarella cheese on top. Place some mushrooms and capsicum on top. Place the patty and top with cheese slice and caramelized onion rings. Grate some more mozzarella cheese on top.
7. Apply 2 tablespoons pizza sauce on another pizza disc and top with torn basil leaves. Flip and cover the burger with it. Similarly prepare the remaining burgers.
8. Place the pizza burger on a baking tray, put the tray in the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes.
9. Serve hot.

Preparation Time: 30-40 minutes
Cooking Time: 25-30 minutes
