A Pile of Food and A Pile of Shoes.

On this final 2022 installment of the TKV Podcast (EP 33: https://bit.ly/3WS8CJW), I share my five (5) resolutions for 2023, resolutions that make sense! ;) I always feel like around this time of year, folks make unrealistic resolutions that simply set themselves up for failure. And failure leads to a lack of self confidence and sometimes even despairthings that will outlast 2023. So this year, I wanted to focus on the things that are super important to me, but in a way thats both specific and doable. The first resolution is to spend more time with my family, inspired by the story I share in this video. For all five of the sensible resolutions, check out EP 33 of the TKV Podcast.

Often times, people think I have the perfect relationship with my family, but, of course, that isnt true. We have drama, we get salty with each other, and I often lose my temper with them (I think I inherited this from my paternal grandmalol). But in the end, Im always reminded of how they showed up for me at my most fragile, and for that, I want to recommit myself to being there for themnot just when they need me, but even when they dont.

It has been an honor cooking for all of you this yearsharing my recipes, my stories, and my thoughts on the podcast, on my YouTube channel, my TikTok, my Instagram, and through the meal planner (now The Kollective). Thank you for letting me into your kitchens and hearts, for sitting down and listening to me as I cook, for inspiring me to stay purposeful and true even in the face of all that challenged us this year. I wish you all the happiest of new years and hope that you walk into 2023 a little more sure-footed, a little more empowered, than we did a year ago.
