Ingredients:
Finger fish (boneless) 1/2 kg
Salt 1 tsp or to taste
Black pepper 1/2 tsp
Chili powder 1/2 tsp
Egg 1
Flour 2 tbsp
Mustard paste 1 tsp
Peri peri sauce 3 tbsp
Bread crumbs for coating
Oil for frying
Ingredients for peri sauce:
Kashmiri red chilies 10-12
Red chili flakes 1 tbsp
Garlic cloves 3
Coriander fresh 2 tbsp
Mustard paste 1 tbsp
Vinegar 1 cup
Oil 1/4 cup
Lemon juice 2 tbsp
Salt to taste
Citric acid 1/4 tsp
Ingredients for tartar sauce:
Mayonnaise 1 cup
Cucumber pickled 1 tbsp
Mustard paste 1 tsp
Onion (chopped) 1 tbsp
Salt to taste
Black pepper 1/2 tsp
Directions:
1. In another bowl add mayo, pickled cucumber, onion, mustard paste, lemon juice, salt, black pepper and mix it well. Your tartar sauce is ready.
2. Boil Kashmiri red chilies in vinegar for a minute. Set aside.
3. In a blender add red chili flakes, garlic cloves, coriander, mustard paste, vinegar, olive oil, citric acid, lemon juice, soaked Kashmiri red chilies and blend until you get a smooth paste. Your peri peri sauce is ready.
4. For finger fish take a bowl add salt, black pepper, chili powder, peri peri sauce, egg, flour, mustard paste and mix it well to make a paste. Add finger fish, coat it well and marinate it for 30 minutes.
5. Take fish pieces and coat them in bread crumbs.
6. Then shallow fry fish until light golden brown on medium low flame.
7. Tasty finger fish is ready. Serve with tartar sauce and enjoy.
