Pear crisps, the healthier alternative to packaged foods and fried chips. These pear crisps have a high nutritional value.

PEAR CRISPS

Ingredients

1 medium green USA Pear
4-5 tbsps toasted oats
3-4 tbsps brown sugar
6-7 walnuts
¼ cup refined flour
¼ cup butter
3-4 tbsps cornflakes
2 tbsps melon seeds

Method

1. Preheat oven to 180° C.
2. Deseed and cut the USA Pear into small pieces and transfer in a bowl. Add brown sugar, oats and crushed walnuts.
3. Put flour in another bowl. Add butter and mix well. Add to pears mixture alongwith cornflakes and mix. Add melon seeds and mix well.
4. Spread the pear-oats mixture on a baking tray and level it out to make a thin layer.
5. Put the tray into the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes. Remove from oven and cool.
6. Cut into 1 inch squares and serve.
