Peach Cobbler | Cooksmart | Sanjeev Kapoor Khazana

Cake batter topped with sliced peaches baked and served with vanilla ice cream

PEACH COBBLER

Ingredients

1 large can of peach
1 cup refined flour (maida)
½ tsp salt
2 tsps baking powder
100 gms butter
1 cup castor sugar
150 ml milk
1 egg
1 tsp cinnamon powder
¼ cup sugar
Vanilla icecream, as required

Method

1. Preheat oven to 180° C.
2. Sift flour, salt and baking powder into a bowl.
3. Melt butter in microwave oven.
4. Add castor sugar to the bowl and mix. Add melted butter and mix. Add milk and egg and mix till smooth.
5. Thickly slice peaches.
6. Pour the batter into a non-stick cake tin. Keep the peach slices over the batter. Sprinkle cinnamon powder and sugar over them.
7. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes.
8. Spoon into bowls and serve hot with vanilla icecream.
