Bake this classic Parsi-style Mawa cake for your celebrations. Easy, quick and delectable!PARSI MAWA CAKEIngredients1½ cups grated mawa 1¼ cups butter, room temperature 1¼ cups castor sugar 4 eggs1 tsp vanilla essence1½ cups refined flour (maida) ¼ tsp nutmeg powder½ tsp green cardamom powder1½ tsps baking powder 1 cup milkMethod1. Preheat the oven at 180ºC. 2. Take butter in a large bowl, add castor sugar and beat the mixture with an electric beater till light and fluffy. 3. Break in the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. 4. Add vanilla essence and beat till well combined. Sift the refined flour directly into the bowl. Add nutmeg powder, green cardamom powder and baking powder and gently fold.5. Add grated mawa and milk and gently fold till well combined. 6. Transfer the batter into individual cupcake liners till they are ¾ filled. Place them on a baking tray and tap a few times. Place this in the preheated oven. Bake for 15-20 minutes.7. Take the tray out of the oven and allow the cake to cool slightly.8.
