Paneer, a few other commonly available ingredients, and a few minutes, is all it takes to make this tongue-tickling treat. You are sure to enjoy the contrast between the spicy, tangy, totally Chinese sauce and the soft, mellow, paneer, which together become a truly memorable treat.Preparation Time: 10 minutes.Cooking Time: 5 minutes.Serves 2. 1 cup sliced paneer (cottage cheese)1 tbsp cornflour1 tbsp oil2 tsp chopped green chillies1 tbsp chopped garlic (lehsun)1 tbsp chopped ginger (adrak)1 tsp soy sauce1 tsp chilli-garlic sauce2 pinches of sugarSalt to tasteFor servingChilli coriander fried rice1. Combine the cornflour and ¾ cup of water in a deep bowl, mix well and keep aside.2. Heat the oil in a broad non-stick pan, add the green chillies, garlic and ginger and sauté on a medium flame for 30 seconds.3. Add the cornflour-water mixture, soya sauce, chilli-garlic sauce, sugar and salt, mix well and cook on a medium flame for 2 minutes, while stirring continuously.4. Add the paneer, mix gently and cook on a medium flame for 1 to 2 minutes, while stirring occasionally. Serve immediately with chilli coriander fried rice.
