Paneer green peas masala curry | பனீர் பட்டாணித் தொக்கு | Best side dish for dosa, chapati | Madras Curry Channel

Paneer green peas masala is a wonderful curry/side dish for Dosa, Roti/Chapathi or Rice/Pulao. This is not the popular Matar-paneer recipe. This must try recipe has flavours from the south - typical Tamil style dish.

Allow 30 minutes to 1 hour before eating to let paneer absorb the flavours fully - in fact, more the time, better the taste!

Ingredients:

To grind into paste:

1. Tomato, medium - 1
2. Ginger - 1 inch piece
3. Garlic cloves - 7 or 8
4. Dry red chillies - 4
5. Coriander seeds - 1/2 tsp
6. Black peppercorns - 1 tsp
7. Cumin seeds - 1/2 tsp
8. Fennel seeds - 1/2 tsp

For curry:
9. Bay leaf - 1/2
10. Cinnamon, small - 1
11. Cumin seeds - 1/4 tsp
12. Onion, big - 1
13. Green peas - 1 cup
14. Paneer - 200 gms
15. Coconut milk - 1/2 cup
16. Coriander leaves - To garnish
17. Ghee - 2 or 3 tbsp
18. Water - As required
19. Salt - To taste
