A great way to give your kids their dose of greens and protein in one delicious dish.

PALAK CHICKEN KEEMA

Ingredients

10-12 fresh spinach leaves
1 cup fresh spinach puree
250 grams chicken mince (keema)
3 tbsps oil
3 medium onions, chopped + to serve
1½ inch ginger, finely chopped
12-15 garlic cloves, chopped
Salt to taste
1 medium tomato, chopped
¼ cup shelled green peas
½ tsp garam masala powder
¼ cup tomato puree
2 tbsps chopped fresh coriander leaves
1 tsp lemon juice
Pavs to serve
Lemon wedges to serve

Method

1. Shred spinach leaves and set aside.
2. Heat oil in a non-stick pan, add onions and sauté till golden brown. Add ginger and garlic and mix well. Cook for a minute.
3. Add chopped spinach leaves, spinach puree and salt and mix. Sauté for 2-3 minutes. Add chicken mince and mix. Sauté on high heat for 1-2 minutes.
4. Add tomato and sauté for 2-3 minutes. Add green peas and mix well.
5. Add garam masala powder and sauté for 1 minute. Add tomato puree and ¼ cup water and mix well. Cover and cook for 3-4 minutes.
6. Switch the heat off, add chopped coriander and lemon juice, mix and transfer into a serving bowl.
7. Serve hot with pavs, lemon wedges and chopped onion.
