Give it a try and am sure you will love it.For more tasty recipes, pleaseSubscribe: https://www.youtube.com/user/eateastI...Our facebook page: http://www.facebook.com/EatEastIndianFollow us on twitter: https://twitter.com/EatEastIndianPinterest: http://pinterest.com/eateastindian/Instagram : https://instagram.com/eateastindian/Ingredients:1 tsp Jeera/Cumin seeds2 tbsp oil/ Butter1 small piece of onion chopped1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste ( or small quantity of chopped ginger-garlic)1 tsp turmeric1 tsp salt ( Adjust per taste)1 tsp paprika(or 1/2 tsp red chilli pwd)1/2 cup rice1 cup chana dal/ yellow split chickpea lentils1/2 cup frozen veggies12 tsp spice blend of your choice ( e.g. garam masala, curry powder, madra curry, sambhar masala powder etc) I used 1/2 tsp quorma masala3 cups of waterI used pressure cooker for the recipe but you can make it on a pot as well.Method1. Heat oil in a pressure cooker and add cumin seeds2. Add onions and ginger-garlic paste. Mix well and then saute for 2-3 mins. Add spices. once onions are no longer raw (2-3 mins), add lentils, rice and veggies.3. Mix well and add water. 4. Put the lid on and then cook for 3 whistles. Turn the gas off and let the cooker cool down before opening. Enjoy this super delicious dish with plain yogurt/pickle or chutney of your choice.
