Its a healthy jaggery based sweet recipe made with raw rice and coconut milk. Neer pindi/ pundi means rice dumplings in water. Neer means water in Kannada/Tulu. The step is same to make like pundis only instead of steaming, it is boiled in water or coconut milkThe neer pundi is part of a dying tradition of Mangalore.
