Nachni Uttappa In Gujarati | Snacky Ideas by Amisha Doshi | Sanjeev Kapoor Khazana

A healthy touch to your favourite breakfast recipe with the additional of nachni flour.

NACHNI UTTAPPA

Ingredients

½ cup black pea (urad dal) batter
3 tablespoons nachni flour
Salt to taste
¼ tablespoon baking soda
½ tablespoon oil
1 small green capsicum, finely chopped
1 medium tomato, deseeded and finely chopped
1-2 green chillies, finely chopped
1 tablespoon chopped fresh coriander leaves
1 tablespoon ghee


Method

1. Mix together ½ cup black peas batter, 3 tablespoons nachni flour, 1 tablespoon water in a bowl to form a smooth batter. Add water if required. Add salt, ¼ tbsp. baking soda and mix well.
2. Heat oil in a non-stick tawa and grease it all over the tawa. Pour a ladleful of the prepared batter and spread evenly. Add green capsicum, tomatoes (deseeded), green chillies, fresh coriander leaves, ghee and cook till the underside turns golden-brown. Flip and cook for 2-3 minutes.
3. Remove from heat, transfer to a serving platter and serve with green chutney.
