Ghee2 bay leaves7 cloves3-inch cinnamon5 green cardamoms8 onions, sliced2 tbsp. ginger and garlic paste each½ nutmeg grated1 tsp. Cinnamon powder4 cups of basmati rice8 cups of mutton stockSalt to tasteMethod:-1. Tie up the onion and the rest of the spices in a potli and cook it with the mutton in 1 litre of water.2. Heat a vessel and melt ghee and add the whole spices.3. Add the onions and fry till the onions turn golden.4. Add the ginger and garlic paste and saute further.5. Add the nutmeg and cinnamon powder and then add the rice and sauté for a minute and then add the boiled mutton and mix well.6. Add the mutton stock and cover and cook for 15-20 min on low flame till the rice is done.
