Mulled wine is a beverage usually made with red wine along with various mulling spices and sometimes raisins. It is served hot or warm.MULLED WINEIngredients450 ml red wine3 tablespoons brown sugar – 70 gms1½ inch cinnamon3 clovesA pinch nutmeg powderA pinch of crushed black peppercorns 2 star aniseMethod1. Heat wine in a deep non-stick pan. Add brown sugar and mix till it melts. Add cinnamon, cloves and crushed peppercorns and mix. 2. Add nutmeg and star anise, mix and cook for 1-2 minutes on low heat, stirring occasionally. Strain in a bowl.3. Pour in individual serving wine glasses, place a cinnamon stick in and serve warm.
