Be it marriage or Ma Shashti Puja or Durga or Laxmi or Saraswati Puja...a very common Delicacy amongst all Bengalis..specially during winters..is Pea Kachori...served with Alu Dam and Date(Khajur) Gur..

Each home has preserved its own recipe of Kachori and this particular way of making the dish is a authentic signature of beauty of the Vegetarian Cuisine of Bengal

INGREDIENTS:For 10 to 12 Kachoris
1.Ingredient list
1. FOR THE DOUGH:
a. All purpose flour or Maida- 1 1/4 cup
b. Salt - 1/4 tsp
c. white oil - 1 tsp
d. 2 pinches of hing mixed with 1 tsp of water.

2. FOR THE FILLING:
a. 1 bowl pea paste plus one green chili paste
b. White oil - 2 Tbsp
c. Ginger paste- 2 tsp
d. Fennel or Mouri paste - 2 tsp
e. Hing or Asafoetida - 2 pinches
f. Jaggery or sugar- 2 to 3 Tbsp
g. Salt - as per taste.
h.Whole Cumin Seeds-1tsp

3. White oil for deep frying kachuri.
