Most Innovative Sushi. Ever: Davin Waite - Master Sushi Chef Series | Hiroyuki Terada - Diaries of a Master Sushi Chef

With a name like Wrench and Rodent, you'd never think this place would garner over 440 reviews on Yelp! with a 4.5 stars average...

Sure, Yelp! doesn't dictate everything successful about a place of business but it does mean one thing...over 440 guests wanted to share their dining experience with the world and write really nice things about their visit.

Davin Waite is an innovator; he just gets it and takes Japanese cuisine and sushi to another level, on top of that level. His dishes are so unique, we have NEVER seen anything remotely close to his one of a kind creations. And the taste...well, it will send you to heaven and back as his pairing of different ingredients and flavors all work so well together.

Located just 40 miles north of San Diego, and 80 miles south of LA, this place is worth the visit, from anywhere.

Davin's unassuming humble presence, makes you love this guy and love his food too. His beginnings was in high school when he wanted t work at a sushi restaurant, happened the day he began, ironically the same day the sushi chef walked out, and that was when he took the culinary world by storm.

Be sure to get there early and even sit at the bar and tell him to feed you. But have an open mind as his Omakase will blow your mind visually and your taste buds to oblivion. Enjoy and you're welcome :)
