Moong Daal Tarka Recipe
water 4 cup
Yellow Lentils (soaked) 2 cups
Salt 1 tsp
turmeric powder 1 tsp
cumin powder 1/2 tsp
garam masala 1/2 tsp
red chili powder 1 tbsp
onion (sliced) 1/2 cup
tomato (sliced) 1/2 cup
green chilies 1 tbsp
garlic 1 tbsp
ginger 1 tbsp
Tarka preparation
oil 1/4 cup
garlic 2 tbsp
red chilies 1 1/2 tbsp
cumin seeds 1 tbsp
red chili whole 1 tbsp
curry leaves 15-20
Directions for Moong Daal Tarka:
1- in a pan, add water and yellow lentils (soaked). bring it to a boil and skim it off.
2- now add salt, turmeric powder, cumin powder, garam masala powder, and red chili powder, and cook for 5 mins.
3- now add onion, tomatoes, green chilies, ginger, and garlic. and mix it well.
4- now cover it and cook for 15-20 mins.
Directions for Tarka Preparation:
1- in a pan add oil, and garlic and saut for a minute.
2- now add red whole chilies, cumin seeds, red chili powder, and curry leaves and cook for a minute.
3- now pour the prepared Tarka over the moong daal and mix it well.
4- your Moong Daal Tarka is ready to serve. Enjoy with Chapati.
