Misal Pav and Vada Pav - Weekend brunch from Maharashtra| Marathi food | Eat East Indian

Misal Pav and Vada Pav are common foods in Maharashtra but have also gained popularity slowly in rest of India and abroad. Misal pav is a popular Mumbai street food of usal (sprouts curry) topped with onions, tomatoes, farsan (fried savory mixture), lemon juice and much more. This simple yet flavourful meal is complete food in itself- its a combination of power house of nutrients that is sprouted lentils and filling carbs from pav ( which is the bread) . Some like it topped with crunchy Farsan, crisp red onions, and fresh cilantro and prefer serving it with lightly buttered Pav ( maybe simply warmed up ) or dinner rolls.
