Mini Italian MEATBALLS Recipe

Learn how to make mini meatballs for subs, pasta, or whatever else you want to eat with them.

1. Chop white onion and thyme or oregano finely
2. Mix with ground beef and sea salt. Don't overmix - just turn until roughly incorporated.
3. Form into small balls and pan fry, turning gently, until fully cooked

This recipe, without eggs and bread crumbs, will make drier meatballs that will crumble more readily when you cook them - that's OK. They're great for meals where you'll combine them with sauce. Those two ingredients could be added for a "wetter" texture that makes a better large meatball to be presented alone.

Use either a beef mixture, beef+pork, or other mixture of your choice!

Did you know that thyme and oregano are closely related members of the mint family, along with a large number of other kitchen herbs? It's true! I prefer thyme flavor, and you can use its milder flavor in more dishes than oregano.
