Ingredients
• Urad dal – 1 cup
• Ginger – 1 tsp
• Jeera – ½ tsp
• Salt – ¾ tsp
• Chopped curry leaves – 1 tsp
• Chopped coriander – 1.5 tsp
• Rice flour – 2 tsp
• Desiccated coconut – 2 tsp
• Green chillies – 1 tsp


Method
• Wash and soak the dal for 4 to 5 hours
• Move to a grinder and grind to a fine paste. Keep the consistency thick
• Whisk for a few minutes to make it soft and fluffy
• Add ginger, jeera, salt, curry leaves, coriander leaves, rice flour, desiccated coconut, green chillies and wish again for a few minutes.
• Use a zip lock and put in small bowl in it and hold the zip lock right to make a flat surface on top of the bowl
• Apply some water and put a dollop of mixture on top
• Make a small hole in the middle of the batter and give it the right shape
• Flip and add to hot oil
• Cook on medium heat until they turn golden brown
• Serve with sambhar and coconut chutney
