Aakha Masoor Usal

Ingredients
• Brown Lentils (sabut Masoor) 1 cup (wash it twice & soak it for 2 hours)
• Oil 2 Tbsp
• Onion 1 medium chopped
• Garlic cloves 5-6
• Garlic 1” inch
• Coriander leaves handful
• Turmeric powder ½ tsp.
• Garam masala powder ½ tsp.
• Cumin seeds ½ tsp.
• Salt to taste.

Method:
• Rinse masoor twice with water and soak it for at least 2 hours.
• Now make green masala Paste add ginger, garlic and coriander and make fine paste. Keep aside.
• Heat oil in kadai add Cumin seeds once Cumin start to splutters add onion, sauté it till translucent.
• Add ground green masala paste cook it for 2 min till oil get out then add turmeric powder, garam masala and salt. Saute it and mix well.
• Add soaked masoor and mix well and add little water to cook.
• Now make a flame low and keep a lid. Let it cook for another few minutes.
• Garnish with chopped coriander , piece of lemon and serve with chapatti or bhakri.
• Serve it and enjoy.
