MASALA NUTS

Ingredients

1 tsp castor sugar
½ tsp green cardamom powder
Salt to taste
1 tsp chaat masala
½ tsp red chilli powder
½ cup walnuts
½ cup cashewnuts
½ cup almonds
Oil for deep-frying

Method

1. Heat sufficient oil in a kadai.
2. To prepare masala, take castor sugar in a bowl. Add cardamom powder, salt, chaat masala and chilli powder and mix.
3. Deep-fry walnuts in hot oil on low heat till golden and crisp. Drain on absorbent paper. Similarly, deep-fry cashewnuts and almonds.
4. Transfer the fried nuts in another bowl, sprinkle some prepared masala on top and mix well. Set aside and bring down to room temperature.
5. Store in a jar.
