A very easy mango dessert recipe without cream - Mango payasam/Mango kheer, an Indian treat to the taste buds. A rich fruity dessert with nuts and raisins.

Serves - 4-5 people
Consume within a day

Ingredients:
1. Pulp of 1 mango (Alphonso used in the video)
2. Milk - 2.5 cups
3. Water - 1 cup
4. Sugar - 3/4 to 1 cup
5. Cardamom powder - 1/4 tsp
6. Cashews, almonds and raisins - as preferred
7. Ghee - 2 - 3 tsp for roasting the nuts and raisins

Tips:
1. You could use Basmati rice or raw rice in place of Aval/Poha/flattened rice. Ensure you dry roast the rice and then powder for the payasam.
2. You can use any mango for making this dessert.
3. You can adjust sugar quantity to balance the sweetness of the mango.
4. Jaggery can be used in place of sugar.
5. If the payasam/dessert thickens, add hot milk to adjust the consistency.
