Mango Halwa/Mango Kesari/Mango Sheera | Sujan Fun Kitchen

#Mango Mangoes are abundantly available despite the fact that the typical Mango season is supposedly on its way out - so, I requested my mom to share her #easy & #healthy #MangoHalwa recipe or #MangoSheera recipe or # #MangoKesari recipe. Please do try out the recipe before Mangoes leave us this year.

Mango Sheera
Ingredients:
Rava/Sooj/Semolina - 1 cup
Sugar - 2 cups
Mango pulp - 2 cups
Water - 2 cups
Ghee - ¼ cup or as required
Cashew Nuts - as required
Method:
Boil 2 cups of water in a pan and keep it boiling over sim flame
Meanwhile heat some ghee in a thick kadai/pan
Roast the Rava/Sooji and cashew nuts in the ghee till nice aroma of rava emanates
Add the boiling water to the roasted Rava and briskly cook together
Now, add the sugar and allow everything to blend together - the mixture will turn liquidy now due to the addition of sugar
Keep cooking till everything thickens
Now, add the mango pulp and cook together
While stirring, add few tsps of ghee now and then
When the Sheera/Kesari is non-sticky, it’s ready to serve
