Malaysian Local Delight for HungryGoWhere

Tired of going through custom jams at the causeway just to snag a few sticks of lok lok along the roadside of Johor Bahru? You can now scrap that idea and have them here in Singapore at Malaysian local delights, the first Malacca-style satay lok lok buffet. If this is the first time youre hearing of lok lok, it refers to a range of deep-fried and skewered meats and veggies that you can dip into a steamboat.

Located at Tanjong Katong, it is a highly affordable buffet that allows you to pick and choose from a selection of 70+ lok lok. The selection includes scallop, beef, cheesy sotong balls, pigs intestines, Thai fishcake, and even Doraemon/Angry Bird fishcakes, which are sure to be a big hit with the kids. Paying the one price will also allow you to get free flow sauces, drinks, side ingredients, and ice cream.
Start off your meal by choosing the dipping base. With eight bases to choose from, the most popular ones are the Homemade Prawn Broth (Penang-style) and Satay Sauce (which lok lok is traditionally paired with in Malacca).

Help yourself to the array of veggies and meats and get ready to dip the skewers in once the broth starts boiling. If you prefer it fried, you could simply place your order with the staff and have it arrive at golden brown perfection.

The restaurant also has an ala-carte menu for customers who are keen to try out some Penangs speciality dishes like Prawn Noodles, KL Hokkien Mee and Penang Fried Kway Teow.
