Chicken pieces coated with yogurt marination, cooked to perfection in an oven

MALAI CHICKEN TIKKA

Ingredients

250 grams boneless chicken breasts, cut into 1 inch pieces
¼ cup hung yogurt
4 tablespoons fresh cream
½ cup grated processed cheese
½ teaspoon green chilli paste
½ tablespoon lemon juice
White pepper powder to taste
¼ teaspoon green cardamom powder
Salt to taste
¼ teaspoon nutmeg (jaiphal) powder
1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
½ teaspoon garam masala powder
1 green chilli, finely chopped
Butter for greasing
Lemon wedges for serving
Onion rings for serving
Green chutney for serving

Method

1. Mix together yogurt, cream, green chilli paste, lemon juice, pepper powder, cardamom powder, salt, nutmeg powder, ginger-garlic paste, garam masala powder, green chillies and cheese in a bowl.
2. Add chicken pieces and mix well. Refrigerate to marinate for 1-2 hours.
3. Preheat oven to 180̊ C. Line a baking tray with aluminium sheet and grease with some butter.
4. Skewer the marinated chicken pieces onto satay sticks and place them on a baking tray. Put the tray in the preheated oven and bake for 12-15 minutes.
5. Serve hot with lemon wedges, onion rings and green chutney.
