Ingredients:
1 kg Chicken boneless
2 tbsp Oil
1 tsp White pepper powder
1 tbsp Ginger garlic paste
1 tbsp Cream
1/2 tbsp Cumin powder
Salt to taste
1 tbsp Green chilies (chopped)
2 tbsp Yogurt
2 tbsp Lemon juice
Ingredients for cashew paste:
10-12 Cashews
1 tbsp Poppy seeds (soaked)
Ingredients for gravy:
1 cup Onion (finely chopped)
2 tbsp Cashew paste
1 tbsp Ginger garlic paste
1 tbsp White pepper powder
1 tbsp Green chilies (chopped)
1/2 tsp Black pepper powder
1 tsp Cumin powder
1 cup Yogurt
1 cup Milk
1/2 cup Cream
1 tbsp Fenugreek dried
Directions for chicken:
In a bowl add chicken, white pepper, ginger garlic paste, cream, cumin powder, salt, green chilies, yogurt and lemon juice. oil
Mix well and marinate for 2 to 3 hours at least. Take steel skewers and thread chicken pieces on them.
Heat coals and BBQ them until fully cooked. Set aside.
Directions for paste:
In a blender add poppy seeds and cashew nuts.
Blend well until you get a fine paste. Set aside.
Directions for gravy:
In a pan heat oil, add chopped onion and cook until translucent.
Then add ginger garlic paste and cook for 3 to 4 minutes.
Add cashew paste, black pepper, white pepper, salt, green chilies, cumin powder and cook for 3 minutes.
Now add yogurt and cook until oil separates. Then add milk and cook for 5 to 6 minutes.
Add cream, cooked malai boti and cook for 3 to 4 minutes. Lastly add fenugreek leaves and mix.
Your tasty BBQ malai gravy is ready to serve.
Preparation time: 15-20 minutes
Cooking time: 25-30 minutes
