Who doesn't love a good Laddoo recipe. Of all the varieties we have eaten, Makahan Laddoo surely takes the trophy home. MAKHANA LADDOOIngredients:1 cup jaggery, chopped4 tbsps ghee2 cups puffed lotus seeds (makhana)¼ cup roasted peanuts, peeled¼ cup cashew nuts2 tbsps pistachios¼ cup almonds2 tbsps pumpkin seeds½ cup + 2 tbsps grated dried coconut2 tbsps black sesame seeds2 tbsps white sesame seeds¼ tsp green cardamom powderMethod:1. To make the jaggery syrup, heat a deep non-stick pan. Add jaggery and 1 cup water and mix well. Cook till the jaggery melts and the mixture reaches one string consistency. 2. Heat ghee in a non-stick pan. 3. Add makhana and dry roast till crisp. Transfer this on a plate. 4. Heat remaining ghee in the same pan. Add peanuts, cashew nuts, pistachios, almonds, pumpkin seeds, and dry coconut and roast for 2-3 mintes.5. Transfer the roasted mixture on to the same plate. 6. Put the roasted mixture along with the makhana in a mixer jar and grind to a fine powder. Transfer this powder into a large bowl.7. Heat the same non-stick pan, add remaining dried coconut, black sesame seeds and white sesame seeds and roast till fragrant.8. Transfer the sesame mixture into the ground mixture, add green cardamom powder and add the cooled jaggery syrup and mix till the mixture comes together.9.
