Pick some fresh sweet corn and make this Makai Chana Chaat, healthy, delicious and wholesome, all in one!

MAKAI CHANA CHAAT

Ingredients

1 corn on the cob
1½ cups boiled brown chickpeas (kala chana)
Salt to taste
1 tsp red chilli powder
1 small lemon, cut into wedges
½ tsp black salt
¾ tsp chaat masala
1 small onion, finely chopped
1 small tomato, finely chopped
3 tbsps masala peanuts
2 tbsps chopped fresh coriander leaves
Fresh coriander sprig for garnish

Method

1. Take salt in a small bowl, add red chilli powder and mix well. Set aside.
2. Roast corn on the cob on direct flame till well roasted from all sides. Take it off the heat and sprinkle the prepared salt-red chilli powder mixture on the corn.
3. Dip ¼ lemon in the prepared mixture and rub on the corn all over. Slice to remove the kernels.
4. Take brown chickpeas in a large bowl, add the prepared corn, add ¾ tsp prepared salt-red chilli powder mixture, black salt, chaat masala, onion, tomato, masala peanuts, chopped coriander leaves, squeeze remaining lemon and mix well.
5. Transfer the prepared chaat into a serving bowl, garnish with coriander sprig and serve.
