Konkanastha Aamti is an easy and tasty typical Maharashtrian style dal, popularly know as Varan bhaat (daal- rice) the ultimate comfort food. Archana guides us through to make Konkanastha Aamti made with a Bhramin twist. Try out this recipe and learn how to cook Konkanastha Aamti at home!

You will require the following ingredients to  cook Konkanastha Aamti at home:
1 bowl of soaked dal with a pinch of hinge (asafetida) and haldi powder (turmeric powder)
1 tomato finely chopped
Salt to taste
½ tbsp hing (asafetida)
1 tbsp rai (mustard seeds)
10 - 12 karipatta leaves (curry leaves)
3-4 kokum
Coriander leaves
1 tbsp coconut crushed
2 chillies
½ tbsp gur (jaggery)
½ tbsp haldi powder (turmeric powder)
Oil
Water
