A super duper healthy recipe made by Mrs. Alyona Kapoor.LAUKI CHANA DALIngredients1 medium bottle gourd (lauki), peeled and cut into cubes1 cup split skinless Bengal gram (chana dal), soaked for 2-3 hours2 teaspoons ghee1 teaspoon cumin seeds (jeera)A pinch of asafoetida (hing)1-2 green chillies, slit¼ teaspoon turmeric powder1 inch ginger, finely chopped½ teaspoon cumin (jeera) powder½ teaspoon coriander powder1 teaspoon red chilli powderSalt to taste1 teaspoon lemon juice1 tablespoon chopped fresh coriander leavesFresh coriander sprigs for garnishing Method1. Heat ghee in a pressure cooker. Add cumin seeds, and once they begin to change colour, add asafoetida, chillies, turmeric powder, ginger and sauté for a few seconds. 2. Add Bengal gram, mix well and sauté for 1-2 minutes. 3. Add cumin powder, coriander powder and chilli powder and mix well. Add bottle gourd and mix well. Add water as required and mix well. 4. Add salt, mix, cover and pressure cook till the pressure is released 2 times. Remove from heat, add lemon juice, coriander leaves and mix well. 5.
