This decadent halwa is prepared with sattu - so simple to prepare and gets done quickly too. Try it for an instant after-meal dessert!

SATTU KA HALWA

Ingredients

1¼ cups sattu
⅓ cup ghee
2 tbsps slivered almonds + for garnish
2 tbsps chopped cashew nuts + for garnish
1 tbsp chopped pistachios + for garnish
½ cup sugar
½ tsp green cardamom powder

Method

1. Heat ghee in a non-stick pan, add sattu and mix well. Roast till golden brown and fragrant.
2. Add almonds, cashew nuts and pistachios and mix well.
3. Add 2 cups water and mix well. Cover and cook for 4-5 minutes.
4. Add sugar, mix and cook till the sugar melts.
5. Add green cardamom powder and mix well. Switch the heat off and serve warm garnished with mixed nuts.
