Prepared with Kutch biscuits and masala gravy, you have got to try this one of a kind bhel recipe.

KUTCHI BHEL

Ingredients

1 tbsp oil
2 tsps dabeli masala
3-4 medium potatoes, boiled, peeled and mashed
1 medium potato, boiled, peeled and cut into ½ inch cubes
Salt to taste
15-20 Jeera butter toasts
3 tsps tamarind chutney
1 tsp garlic chutney
1 medium onion, finely chopped
2 tsps masala peanuts + for garnish
2 tsps pomegranate pearls + for garnish
Nylon sev for garnish
Chopped fresh coriander for garnish

Method

1. Heat oil in a deep non-stick pan, add dabeli masala and sauté till it turns slightly brown.
2. Add mashed potatoes, potato cubes and salt. Add 1 cup water and mix well. Cook for 5-10 minutes on medium heat or till the mixture boils. Set aside to cool down for 5 minutes.
3. Crush half the jeera butter biscuits and add in a bowl. Add the remaining whole jeera butter toasts in the bowl. Pour the prepared mixture over the toasts. Add tamarind chutney, garlic chutney, onion, masala peanuts and pomegranate pearls. Mix well.
4. Serve immediately, garnished with nylon sev, chopped coriander, masala peanuts and pomegranate pearls.
